The market research institute Insa Consulere conducted a representative survey of over 4000 people in January 2018 on behalf of the CDU/CSU. The core finding of this survey is that 45 per cent of Germans are dissatisfied with the education system in their state. Inclusion is also a subject concerning many: 62 per cent of respondents were of the opinion that the schools in their state did not appear to be sufficiently prepared for the inclusion of children with special educational needs. The inclusion of refugee children has also not been successful within schools according to 49 per cent of those asked.
